GMIT Pastry Kitchen Works Summer 2020

Tender description

Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology wishes to award a contract under the open procedure for "GMIT Pastry Kitchen Reconfiguration Works 2020. This project involves the reconfiguration of an existing general training kitchen into a specialist pastry training kitchen. The existing kitchen is serviced with gas, electricity, water, waste and ventilation and all of these services will require some modifications to suit the new layout and new equipment. The area of works is located at first floor level directly over an existing service access road(part) and over and an engineering stores (part). Access to the kitchen at first floor level will involve access via internal circulation corridors. (see Appendix 1 – Site Layout and Appendix 2 & 3 for Access Routes). This will be a turnkey project which will be ready to move into upon completion. The main elements involved are as follows: • Electrical strip out • Mechanical strip out • Suspended Ceiling alterations. • Ventilation alterations • Electrical alterations. • Mechanical alterations. • White Rock alterations. • Floor finishes. • Fire-stopping • Builders work (associated with alterations). • Cleaning Please refer to the attached documentation for further details.
