Tender description
A training and support programme for the teaching of Phonics and early reading and writing in Primary Schools in Liverpool. Specifically: • Staff in schools are trained to teach an established, evidence-based Phonics programme to children learning to read (Reception and KS1 or as a catch up in Years 3 and 4); • Schools receive training and CPD on both literacy and leadership. • Once schools are trained, ongoing support to build knowledge and confidence to ensure strong teaching of phonics and reading is developed and sustained, and a culture of weekly practice and coaching for staff is maintained.
