Design of a cultural centre and café on the ground floor, provision of social housing on the first, second and third floors, provision of apartments on the fourth floor and a roof garden on the fifth floor. Upgrade the existing Merchants road lower to provide a shared surface improving the public realm at street level. Brief: — ground floor cultural 240 sq.m, — ground floor café 70 sq.m, — 6 x 2 bed apartments for social housing on first, second and third floors, — 2 x 2 bed apartment on fourth floor, — roof garden accessible for residents on the fifth floor. Upgrade the existing Merchants road lower to provide a shared surface improving the public realm at street level i.e. adjacent to the ground floor cultural centre and the existing hotel (opposite side of the street to this project).
