Tender description

As part of Norfolk County Councils Norfolk Tree Planting and Resilience Strategy, the Council are committed to planting 1 million trees in Norfolk by April 2025. The mechanisms for achieving this is currently being produced. It is the intention for the Council to go to market to establish a multi supplier framework with three distinct lots, the purchase of tree stock, contractors to carry out planting and aftercare activities, and the provision of sundries such as tree guards. To establish a multi supplier framework for the provision of tree stock ranging from established, ready to plant stock, through to stock the will be grown from seed for specific provision to Norfolk County Council. The preference would be that trees supplied as part of this framework would have been grown in the UK from seed collected within the UK. However, where the need arises and appropriate bio security measures can be demonstrated, stock may be purchased that has been grown from seed sourced from Europe. To establish a multi supplier framework of contractors to assist with the bulk planting of trees and associated aftercare activities. To establish a multi supplier framework for the provision of sundries relating to tree planting such as tree guards, stakes and ties.
