Essa Academy (“the School”) is prepared to receive tenders for Internal Alteration Works at Essa Academy, Lever Edge Lane, Bolton, BL3 3HH which will be subject to the information, specification and tender package enclosed. This project represents an enabling package of internal alterations in order to facilitate a further phase of extensions to accommodate an increase in pupil numbers. The project consists of the alterations and refurbishment of the existing school. The main elements of the works are summarised as follows: 1. Addition of new internal stair to the unheated ‘heart’ space. 2. Internal alterations to the science classrooms to re-size 3 science classrooms and a preparation room. As part of these works new gas infrastructure is installed to allow for gas taps. 3. Internal alterations to existing classrooms/office to create a new food tech classroom. 4.
