Tender description

NHS Supply Chain seeks to establish a non-exclusive framework agreement (FAG) for supply of hearing aid batteries to NHS Supply Chain depots via the stock route. Precise quantities are unknown. It is anticipated that in the first 24 months of the framework agreement the value of purchases will be circa GBP 10 000 000 however this is approximate only and the values may vary depending on the requirements of those bodies purchasing under the framework agreement. The estimated value over the total term of the framework agreement including any extension options (2 + 2 year term) will be in the region of GBP 20 000 000. The figures for the total estimated value are based on that initial expenditure and include a forecast for growth. The framework is for the supply of hearing aid batteries to the NHS for the use in NHS patients hearing aids. Hearing aid batteries include: R70 zinc air size 10, R48 zinc air size 13, R41 zinc air size 312, R44 zinc air size 675 and R44 zinc air size 675 for cochlear implants. NHS Supply Chain anticipates appointing all applicants who have met the minimum requirements which are set out in these tender documents and whose total score meets or exceeds a hurdle of at least 65 % at tender evaluation stage to the framework agreement.
