Longford Wetlands Survey 2020

Tender description

The Longford Heritage Office is inviting suitably-qualified and experienced teams to undertake field surveys of agreed wetlands sites to Fossit Level 3 standards in 2020. The sites to be selected are within the Roscommon & Longford Wetlands Survey 2017 (desktop). The aims of the 2020 Field Survey are: • To survey identified wetland sites in the County to Fossitt Level 3 and assess their biodiversity value. • Note the condition of the site and provide baseline recommendations for conservation priorities. • Collate the information for inclusion on the Longford-Roscommon Wetland Survey 2017 – Phase 1 Desktop Study The tender proposal must include the following: 1. A method statement . 2. A short COVID-19 safety strategy. 3. The extent of the survey to be undertaken. 4. The relevant experience of the firm and personnel 5. A detailed breakdown of estimated costs. 6. Extent of professional indemnity and public liability cover. OUTPUTS • A project report to be produced at the end of the project. • A master archive file, containing all files relating to the project. • GIS layer of all habitats identified during the survey • Results from the survey and conservation assessments will be added to the County Longford Wetlands Map GIS and site database. All output will be submitted to the Heritage Council on or before the 2nd November 2020. This project is being funded by the Heritage Council under the County Heritage Plan Scheme and this must be acknowledged in the outputs.
