Life Safety Systems Upgrade Summer Works Project 2020

Tender description

The scope of work for the Life Safety Systems Electrical Upgrade summer works project at St Michaels GNS and St Michaels JBS includes as follows:- a) Isolation, removal and disposal of the redundant services to a licenced waste facility b) Provision of supplementary containment systems as required to fully contain all new wiring and cabling systems – existing containment to be retained where feasible c) Alterations to existing Distribution Boards to provide hting Central Test Facilities and new dedicated power supplies for the Fire Alarm System, Door Hold Open Devices, Access Control System and CCTV System. d) New Emergency Lighting System to current IS 3217 standard. e) Upgrade the Fire Detection & Alarm System to L3 to current IS3218 standard f) Upgrade of Heating Controls g) All associated alterations to the existing electrical services installations h) Testing & commissioning and certification of the upgraded Life Safety Systems and electrical installations i) All associated builders works, opening up, making good fire proofing and re-decoration to match existing finishes j) Full contract clean of the entire School building prior to handover k) Maintenance of the new installations for the defects liability period (12 months) The Electrical Contractor shall supply all labour, materials, equipment and engineering services, and perform all works necessary to install the complete, tested, commissioned, and operational Life Safety Systems and Electrical systems in accordance with the Specification and Drawings.
