Tender description

SAN technology replacement WCBC wish to explore options to replace their existing SAN technologies. Current technology includes 2 x Hitachi G200 SAN’s with 120Tb of storage and Cisco SAN Fabric Zoning. The G200’s are situated in separate facilities connected via dedicated fibre and data synchronously replicated between the two sites (500 Meters apart). WCBC would like to investigate the replacement of this technology to include inline compression and deduplication of data and replacement of the SAN Fabric and seek estimated budgetary requirements. And Backup technology replacement WCBC wish to explore options to replace their existing backup technology. Current technology consists of an ArcServ solution which backs up data to onsite disk repositories replicated to a second facility. WCBC would like to investigate options regarding backup solutions, with associated hardware to support, for around 250 virtual servers through VMWare and 20 Physical Servers and seek estimated budgetary requirements.
