Tender description

North Lanarkshire Council (the ‘Council’) intend to award a contract to a single service provider for the provision of ad-hoc gardens works across the North Lanarkshire Council area. The following information is intended to give candidates an overview of the high level requirements. Requirements: the ad-hoc garden works involves works including one-off cuts to properties as well as hedge cuts, pruning and removal of trees, bushes and shrubs, as well as the cultivation of areas, removal of structures such as garages, outhouses and sheds. It also requires the removal and disposal of waste and fouling. The service is predominantly provided to elderly and infirm tenants who have been assessed and qualify to be included on our care of garden scheme or carried out at non tenanted properties or other areas of open/communal land within the housing services portfolio. Service levels required: — urgent garden works, including grass and hedge cut and removal of waste — 3 working days; — routine works — 7 working days; — removal of structures such as garden sheds, coal bunkers and garages – 14 working days; — works involving the pruning, removal and maintenance of trees – 20 working days. The contractor will be required to have access to all equipment to undertake the works specified and must have a duty of care, be able to provide risk and method statements for the works and be mindful of health and safety responsibilities. The contract must be carried out in accordance with the information provided within this contract notice and the following documents contained within the PCS-T tendering system; Invitation to Tender (ITT) document and the Council's General Conditions of contract. Tenders must be submitted for the full requirements; only tenders submitted on this basis will be considered. Tenderers must respond to a range of Selection Questions within the PCS-T qualification envelope. Tenderers must download and complete a range of award based questions and statements located within the PCS-T technical envelope. Tenderers must download and complete a pricing schedule that is located within the PCS-T commercial envelope.
