Tender description
Works under the contract shall include, but not be limited to: - The annual re-inspection of all ACM’s (scored 1 – 17). Currently 9613. - Six monthly re-inspection of all ACM’s (scored 18 and above). Currently 0. - Amend material risk scores and priority scores as necessary. - Photograph every ACM inspected. - Access and assess all “No Access” or previously un-surveyed areas, where possible when visiting area / building. Over the course of the first three years it is envisaged that all No Access areas can be assessed. - If access cannot be gained then leave a contact card to allow the room user to book a suitable appointment. If access is not gained after the second attempt the No Access assessment shall remain in place and the AMT should be informed to arrange access formally. This will be revisited each year until accessed. - Keeping MiCAD updated for the duration of the project. - Carry out additional sampling in areas where current information is insufficient (plant rooms etc.). This will need to be agreed in advance with the Supervising Officer and will be covered by the contingency in line with agreed rates. - Reassess / resample unjustifiable “presumed” ACMs to ascertain their asbestos content. This will need to be agreed in advance with the Supervising Officer and will be covered by the contingency in line with agreed rates. - Carry out personal air monitoring when accessing Reg. 18 Asbestos Areas (listed in appendices) and reassurance air monitoring on completion. - Where ACM’s are found to be in poor condition or where new potentially friable ACMs are identified bring them to the attention of the Asbestos Management Team.
