Technology Needs Assessment for Community Centres

In order to assist Community Centres to assess their technology needs, we require a suitable person to undertake a technology needs assessment on 20 community facilities in Co. Sligo. The assessment should include: • What level of Broadband access is currently available and what level is required • What Broadband infrastructure (if any) is required and an estimated cost to providing this • What technological infrastructure is required to enable use of the centre as a hub by a maximum of 6 users at any one time • What are the hardware needs within the community centre to act as a hub – please consider laptops/tablets, printers/scanners, screens, cameras, microphones etc • What are the hardware needs of the community centre for items which can be leant out to community members who do not have laptops/tablets to access services offered from the centre • What licences are required by the Centre eg – Zoom/Teams, Anitvirus, Malware etc • What software is required by the Centre in order to enable Booking/Payment/Monitoring usage etc The assessment should provide the Community Centre with a simple specification for their technology needs. The assessment should ensure the requirements are in line with the potential use of the centre as a hub, and should not be a wish-list for centres which is financially unrealistic and where the centre’s use does not support the technology requirements.
