Tender description
The Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games (‘Birmingham 2022’) will be the largest event ever staged in the West Midlands and the most significant event to be staged in the UK in 2022. CGF Partnerships Ltd (‘CGFP’), a company registered in England and Wales with company number 10380178, whose registered office is at Commonwealth House, 55-58 Pall Mall, London, SW1Y 5JH is advertising for parties to register their interest in acquiring certain licensing and merchandising rights for Birmingham 2022, Commonwealth Sport and Home Nations brand assets (together, the ‘Brand Assets’) through the opportunities described below in lots 1, 2 and 3. Master Licensee to design, source, deliver and retail an extensive range of official licensed products incorporating the brand assets (‘Official Licensed Products’) at Birmingham 2022 official outlets (venues, megastore and pop-ups) operated by the master licensee, and through other approved retailers, both online and offline, supported by sublicensees in approved categories, which the master licensee would appoint and manage and other licensees appointed directly by CGFP. Ecommerce licensee to design, build, manage and fulfil an eCommerce platform through which an extensive range of official licensed products would be offered for sale. The eCommerce licensee may be granted the opportunity to create, manufacture and sell a complementary range of products for sale via the official online store. Plush toy licensee to design, manufacture and bring to market a range of official licensed plush products incorporating the brand assets (‘Official Licensed Products’), servicing their existing network of retailers in the UK and demand from Birmingham 2022 official retail channels, both online and offline, including the Birmingham 2022 official outlets operated by the master licensee.
