Tender description

Cardiff Council's Material Reclamation Facility (MRF) receives and processes dry mixed recyclable materials from its household and commercial waste collections. Cardiff Council's Material Reclamation Facility (MRF) receives and processes dry mixed recyclable materials from its household and commercial waste collections. The Council requires a solution for the collection and processing of the mixed coloured glass that is seperated in the MRF. We estimate that approximately 7 000 tonnes of mixed coloured glass is produced each year, however this could rise at peak times. The successful provider will guarantee a landfill diversion rate of 100 % and a minimum recycling rate of 80 %.
