Allerdale Borough Council is seeking to appoint a consultant to work with a Steering Group to develop an up to date Playing Pitch Strategy (PPS). The Council is committed through the new Council Strategy 2020 – 30, to improving the lives of its residents and communities. Within the new priorities, the Council will improve and protect its green infrastructure and open spaces, and build resilient communities through promotion of healthy and active lifestyles. The Council has some ambitious plans to help realise some of these key themes and a functional, relevant PPS is required to ensure that there is a strategic framework to developing projects that will meet the needs of the community.
