Life Safety Systems Fire Alarm & Emergency Lighting & External Lighting Upgrade Project at Monastery Close Thurles Co Tipperary

Tender description

The scope of work for the Life Safety Systems and External Lighting Electrical Upgrade project at Monastery Close includes as follows:- a) Isolation, removal and disposal of the redundant services to a licenced waste facility b) Provision of supplementary containment systems as required to fully contain all new emergency lighting and fire alarm wiring and cabling systems – existing containment to be retained and extended where feasible c) Upgrade the existing Lighting Distribution Boards throughout the development to provide Emergency Lighting Central Test Facilities and dedicated power supplies for additional Fire Alarm equipment, Door Hold Open Devices and Disabled Refuge System as required d) New Emergency Lighting System throughout the development landlord areas to current IS3217 standard. e) New L3/X Fire Detection & Alarm System throughout the development communal areas to current IS3218 standard f) Upgrade of external lighting to replace metal halide bollards with LED amenity fixtures mounted on 3 meter columns and replace the SON street lights with LED units g) All associated alterations to the existing electrical services installations h) Testing & commissioning and certification of the upgraded Life Safety Systems and electrical installations i) All associated builders works, opening up, making good fire proofing and re-decoration to match existing finishes j) Contract clean of the work areas on completion and prior to handover k) Maintenance of the new installations for the defects liability period (12 months) The Electrical Contractor shall supply all labour, materials, equipment and engineering services, and perform all works necessary to install the complete, tested, commissioned, and operational Life Safety Systems and Electrical systems in accordance with the Specification and Drawings.
