Tender description
Provision of an Intensive School Engagement (Cycling and Scooting) Service. The Council has successfully secured funding from the Department for Transport’s (DfT) Access Fund for Sustainable Travel Revenue Competition. The funding allows the continuation of delivery of Plymotion the Council’s successful behavioural change programme (www.plymouth.gov.uk/plymotion). Through the Intensive School Engagement Service (Cycling and Scooting) scheme, Plymotion will fund engagement with a minimum of 54 schools within Plymouth and its urban fringe (Figure One), of which six will be new schools. This will allow the programme to engage with an anticipated 2370 new pupils who will benefit from improved safety and physical access to education and better concentration levels in school.
