Establishment of a multi supplier Framework for UCC in 2 no Lots for Works Contractors for Small & Minor Works Projects

UCC invites responses from suitably qualified Works Contractors for the provision of works as described hereunder in 2 number individual Lots as follows:- Provide Small & Minor capital works for projects as the need arises including maintenance works for UCC buildings, facilities & external areas comprising new builds, fit outs, maintenance, refurbishment and extensions to existing buildings and facilities including offices, laboratories, educational and recreational facilities, site development and infrastructure work, where such individual projects would have an estimated costs for each Lot as follows:- • Lot 1 -€5,000 - €250,000 exclusive of VAT for Small Works • Lot 2 -€250,000 - €1,450,000 exclusive of VAT for Minor Works The projects will vary in costs, complexity and programme duration. Tenderers are permitted to apply for One Lot Only This competition is to establish a multi supplier framework with a maximum of six Tenderers for each Lot (“Framework”) to whom specific assignments may be awarded in due course based on the terms of a contract (“Framework Agreement”), on a non-exclusive basis. UCC reserves the right to engage other firms from time to time. The combined potential total construction value of the works to be procured under the proposed framework agreements for all Lots is above the EU Threshold and therefore this tender will be in accordance with the requirements of EC directive 2004/18/EEC (Open procedure). The Estimated total Value of Each Lot is as Follows • Lot 1 Small Works Projects (Type 1)-€3,000,000 exclusive of Value Added Tax (VAT). • Lot 2 1 Minor Works Projects (Type 2) -€9,000,000 exclusive of Value Added Tax (VAT). The competition for each Lot is based on an open procedure and the appointment to a Frameworks for each Lot will be determined by virtue of a test to determine the most economical advantageous tenders (“MEAT”), following a qualification stage.
