Tender description

The Company holds licences to provide water and wastewater services to a population of approximately seven million people and businesses in the North West of England. The framework covers specialist aquatic services across the business, advising against business objectives and supporting the acquisition of environmental consents from statutory environmental consultes and planning authorities. The framework will be for the following: Lot 1: Aquatic Ecology Lot 2: Physical Environment Surveys. The services may include but will not be limited to the following activities: 1) Provision of specialist support to the company and its construction partners; 2) Undertaking aquatic ecology in support of environmental assessments for capital projects or drought studies, drought baseline or impact monitoring or water industry national environment programme investigations; 3) Designing and undertaking field surveys and producing technical reports; 4) Consultation with regulatory authorities, relevant landowners and third party groups and external record centres; 5) Completing task specific method statements, supporting risk assessments and implementing all necessary safe systems of work; 6) Consultation with third party land owners in order to secure access. The services may include but will not be limited to the following activities. 1) Provision of specialist support to the company and its construction partners; 2) Undertaking, hydrology, water quality and/or geomorphology studies in support of environmental assessments for capital projects or drought studies, drought baseline or impact monitoring or water industry national environment programme investigations; 3) Designing and undertaking field surveys and producing technical reports; 4) Consultation with regulatory authorities, relevant landowners and third party groups and external record centres; 5) Completing task specific method statements, supporting risk assessments and implementing all necessary safe systems of work; 6) Consultation with third party land owners in order to secure access.
