Tender description

This contract will be let through the use of negotiated procedure without prior publication of a contract notice (the term used in the Defence and Security Public Contract Regulations (DSPCR) 2011 for single source contracts). It will provide integration tasks and the continued modification of the existing Helicopter Integrated Defensive Aids System (HIDAS). This will enable delivery of an integrated Defensive Aids System (DAS) which is a critical sub-system on an Apache AH-64E. The Apache Project Team (UK Ministry of Defence) intends to place a contract with Leonardo MW Ltd to deliver aspects of the Apache Capability Sustainment Programme. This work is interlinked with VEAT notice 2017/s 115-232731. This contract with Leonardo MW Ltd will enable delivery of an integrated Defensive Aids System (DAS), which is a critical sub-system on an Apache. The contract scope is for design, qualification, integration and provision of items to Boeing (Original Equipment Manufacturer for the Apache) for integration as part of the Foreign Military Sales agreement with the United States Government.
