Single Supplier Framework for the Health and Safety Training for Students of the School of Science

Tender description

The Services comprise health and safety training for students of the School of Science. This training will be provided onsite at the Letterkenny Institute of Technology; Letterkenny Campus. The courses to be provided will be for students in Nursing and Health Students and the Department of Science in the areas of People Moving and Handling, Basic Life Support, Manual Handling and Basic First Aid. Courses take place during the Academic Year and the establishment of a framework with a single supplier allows LYIT to exclusively use this supplier to provide this training throughout the year. Student numbers change on an annual basis hence the estimates provided within the tender are based on the Academic Year 2019/20 and based on the training which was procured. The establishment of a framework allows some flexibility if training needs expand in the area of health and safety training during the term of the contract. The training provided to students supplements their classroom education and placements in the achievement of their academic awards.
