Metal Fabrication Multiparty Framework Agreement

Tender description

This is a call to competition by IE for the procurement of Metal Fabrication services (the “Contract”). Iarnród Éireann have an ongoing requirement for metal fabrication services nationwide. These services can range from standard fabrication requirements such as bracketry and hinges to more bespoke design and safety critical fleet components. Only companies with suitable expertise in fabrication will be considered to entering the Framework Agreement. The framework will be broken into 2 lots as highlighted below: Lot (1) will compose of ‘Standard Fabricated Materials’ such as brackets, bushings, hinges, mounts, springs, etc. Applicants will be technically proficient in the following substrates: Aluminium, stainless steel, mild steel / alloy steel. Lot (2) will compose of more ‘Specialised Fabrication’ - Requirements can range from panels, doors, frames and tanks to more complex, bespoke design and some safety critical fleet components. Applicants will be technically proficient in working with the following substrates: Aluminium, stainless steel, mild steel / alloy steel. Applicants will also have expertise in specialised welding services and will preferably have additional Welding Standards and Controls in place such as ISO:3834 or applicable. Successful applicants for Lot 2 are required to demonstrate that they have the necessary resources to deliver the IÉ requirement which may include travel to IÉ locations for welding in situ. The proposed framework agreement duration will be for an initial period of 4 years with an option to extend the term by a further 1 year giving a maximum contract duration of 5 years.
