Tender description

JSL is looking to work in collaboration with publishers to broaden learning opportunities in higher education in the UK through access to more affordable digital archival collections of primary source materials. Digital archival collections can comprise of many forms of digitised materials including, but not limited to, texts, manuscripts, illustrations, photographs, maps, pamphlets, diaries, correspondence, ephemera, cartoons and audio-visual materials. Digital archival collections are predominately focused on the arts, humanities and social science studies. Time span from incunabula (pre-1501) to the present. In 2018, we established a framework to support academic libraries with the perpetual purchase of digital archival collections (DAC) for use in research and teaching and based on member feedback we are creating another framework opportunity to run in parallel (DAC 2020). This notice commences the second iteration of the group purchasing scheme (GPS). Jisc Services Ltd intends to commence a procurement process following the open procurement procedure in accordance with Directive 2014/24/EU and The Public Contracts Regulations 2015. The intention is for a procurement process to commence May 2020 and this will be formally published via the OJEU and the Jisc procurement portal https://tenders.jisc.ac.uk. Existing publishers to the DAC framework participating in the current GPS do not need to respond to this notice.
