Tender description

We are procuring a SLCN service to support our inhouse teams to work with these clients. The new service proposes to target those who are subject to an out of court disposal or who are currently being supported by the youth justice team — aged between 10-21 (or 25 if the individual has an education, health and care plan), where they have specific speech, language and communication difficulties. We are issuing a PIN so that we can understand the interest form the current market given the recent pandemic and our uncertainty around any instability this may have caused the market. Kent County Council's Youth Justice Service is seeking a qualified speech, language and communication therapy provider to deliver a new and sustainable speech and language therapy service for both young people and staff within the criminal justice system, to build an approach to identifying speech language and communication difficulties, and identifying/performing the best course of action to address these. The overall vision of the service is to empower the workforce to lead on the identification of SLCN needs and identify the most appropriate response in a way that can be enshrined throughout ongoing interactions with that young offender both within and outside of the Youth Justice service. We wish to ascertain whether there are interested providers for a service we are looking to procure.
