Who Speclialist Work With The programme manager will work with other members of the programme team and key stakeholders and suppliers to ensure it’s successful delivery. The candidate will work across the organisation, including key stakeholder management at all levels to effectively plan monitor and control delivery of the agreed the outcomes. What Specialists Work On Proactively monitoring progress, resolving issues and initiating appropriate corrective action; Ensuring effective quality assurance and the overall integrity of delivery; Monitoring expenditure and costs against delivered and realised benefits as the programme progresses; Development and governance approvals for business cases; Facilitating the appointment of individuals to project teams; Managing communications with all stakeholders; Managing risks to the programme's successful outcome; Reporting the progress of the programme at regular intervals to the programme director. Where the Work Takes Place 2 Marsham Street, London SW1P 4DF /Croydon Campus/Other DDaT locations as required Early Market Engagement Working Arrangements A typical working day is 9am-5pm, however working outside of these hours may be required due to business/project need. The role requires flexibility as individuals may be required to work at any of the Customer premises and/or at supplier sites. The role is outside of IR35. Work Location 2 Marsham Street, London SW1P 4DF /Croydon Campus/Other DDaT locations as required Security Clearance SC Additional T&Cs Travel expenses are payable for journeys outside the M25 where approved in advance by the customer and in line with Home Office Travel policy (subsistence is not payable). Skills & Experience Demonstrable effective leadership, interpersonal and communication skills. The demonstrable ability to command respect and to create a sense of community amongst the members of the project teams. Demonstrable good knowledge of techniques for planning, monitoring and controlling programmes. Demonstrable sound business case development and approvals skills, in a similarly complex environment. Demonstrable good understanding of the public sector procurement process including negotiation with third parties. Demonstrable good knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation procedures. Demonstrable sufficient seniority and credibility to advise project teams on their projects in relation to the programme. The demonstrable ability to find ways of solving or pre-empting problems. Nice to Haves Demonstrable understanding of a range of structured programme and project management methodologies including Agile and PRINCE2. Demonstrable experience working on large scale technical transformation programmes.
