Tender description

Donegal County Council intends to carry out a Town and Village Improvement Scheme along the R267 Regional Road, in the townland of ArdchickenTD. The works will include the provision of a new uncontrolled pedestrian crossing point inside the 60kmh speed limit for Donegal Town. A new footpath will be constructed from this crossing point for approximately 320m along the public road and a final 60m of footpath through the grounds of the Donegal Town Craft Village. The total length of the scheme is approximately 380m. The scope of the works involves everything that is contained within the Volume A - Works Requirements Document and contract documents, as a guide, the project comprises, but is not limited to: • Traffic management to maintain traffic over the existing road during construction • Site Clearance involving general site clearance and removal of hedgerows and trees • Excavation and filling of existing roadside verge to allow for construction of new path • New drainage along the length of the project, including gullies and manholes • Provision of ducting and pots for future public lighting • New fencing as required along the extent of the scheme • Localised road widening and reinstatement • Road Signage and Road markings • Traffic Signs • Ancillary works including any other works as described or inferred on the drawings
