Tender description

Northern Powergrid, part of Berkshire Hathaway Energy (BHE) is seeking to let a contract for the provision of electric plant storage. Northern Powergrid uses a qualification system, the Utilities Vendor Database (UVDB) which is administered by Achilles Information Ltd, for supplier selection. Companies interested in bidding for this opportunity, must be registered with the UVDB under category codes relating to electric plant storage, in order to be considered for this opportunity. Potential suppliers should note that the registration process with the UVDB can take up to 6 weeks to complete. As such, no contract notice will be issued for the requirement, as a Qualification system notice is issued by Achilles Information Ltd on behalf of the Company. This PIN is for information only and therefore no tender documents are available for publish at this time. The contract is for 3 years with the option to extend for a further 1 year. NPg Northeast and NPg Yorkshire requires temporary storage of plant items prior to delivery to the contractors for installation on site. Two storage facilities are required one in each licence area along the A1/M62/A19 transport corridors with a floor space of approx. 500 m2 each. The facilities are to be under cover (i.e. Warehouses), meet NPg's environmental and security requirements and the inventory is to be effectively managed and controlled.
