Project Opera - Demolition and Enabling Works Package

Limerick Twenty Thirty are seeking to carry out demolition and enabling works at the Opera Site to clear the site for future development. The Opera Site is a 3.7 acre site located in Limerick City between Rutland Street, Patrick Street, Ellen Street, Michael Street and Bank Place. The demolition and enabling works includes the following: • Schedule of Condition surveys, extensive temporary works for both weathering and temporary support, demolition of buildings and structures, design and construction of new foul and storm water lines, termination of existing services, the design, coordination and construction of a temporary ESB sub-station and site clearance. This procurement process, for a Design & Build Contractor (PW-CF4 - Public Works Contract for Civil Engineering Works designed by the Contractor), is a single stage open tender procedure, without novation of the designers. Tenderers are required to propose an Asbestos Removal Specialist as part of the Suitability Assessment Questionnaire (SAQ), using the QW3 Form provided. Tenderers are required to retain specialist consultant services for the positions identified within Section 3.4a and 3.4c of the SAQ QW2 Form. The specialist consultant services are; • Conservation Architect – Grade 2, • Archaeological Consultant, • Chartered Temporary Works Design Engineer, • Chartered Civil Design Engineer, and • Chartered Electrical Design Engineer.
