Tender description

Interworks transport – tanker haulage collecting and transporting c. 350 000 (per annum) cubic metres of sludge liquor from c. 650 sewage treatment sites. Biosolids transport – haulage of c.170 000 (pa) tonnes of sludge to agricultural outlets for spreading to farmland. Other outlets for sludge liquor and biosolids maybe be required when agricultural outlets are not available or for non-compliant sludge. Also, some sludge will be distributed between a small number of South West Water sites. Agricultural land management – develop and manage relationships with agricultural outlets for biosolids stock management, storage, soil sampling and recycling. Lot 1 — not awarded. Haulage is also required for c. 11 000 (pa) cubic metres of liquid lime, distributed between a small number of South West Water sites. Lot 2 — not awarded.
