Tender description

The contract provides the transportation services for all internal liquid sludge and raw sludge cake from sewage works to sewage treatment works throughout the region. Yorkshire Water produces liquid sludge and sludge cake at sites which require transporting to waste water treatment sites. Approx 70 000 tonnes of sludge cake and in the region of 800 000 l of liquid sludge per annum. This service is required on a daily basis 24/7. The specification covers the range of services required: — business as usual liquid sludge tankering services, — business as usual internal raw cake transportation services, — reactive liquid sludge tankering services, — reactive internal raw cake transportation services, — data capture and compliance management, — reporting.
