Tender description

The successful supplier will be required to provide catering services for Bohunt Education Trust (BET) — the client — at the following locations: — Bohunt School, — Bohunt Sixth Form, — Priory School, — The Petersfield School, — Bohunt School Wokingham, — Bohunt School Worthing, — The Costello School, — Bohunt School Horsham. This tender is seeking to appoint a supplier whose initiative and innovation will be welcomed for the provision of providing catering services within the 7 locations — Liphook (school and sixth form), Portsmouth, Petersfield, Wokingham, Worthing, Horsham and Basingstoke. As a Trust, we now wish to develop a group-wide approach to our procurement to harness the benefits of being a locally based group of schools. We are looking to appoint a supplier who will help us to both maintain and improve the catering services across our secondary schools. The contract being tendered is for 3 years in duration from September 2020 to August 2023. The academic year is based on a calendar of 195 days. 5 days are to be used for staff professional development which means that schools will be open to receive students for the legal minimum of 190 days. The contract offered covers the scope for the provision of school catering services. Whilst the client prioritises value for money as a key objective of the competitive tender process, the governing body is not obliged to accept the lowest price. The client expects the successful supplier to evidence, through their bid, how it shall support and complement the client’s values and support the principles of the Trust in ensuring World Class learning facilities. As a Trust we are continually seeking ways to improve and develop the ethos and environment for students and staff, to give them the facilities they deserve and need to meet the challenges of the 21st Century. We are looking to appoint a supplier that will work innovatively in partnership with the Trust and individual schools within the Trust.
