School catering services

Tender description

The Keys Academy Trust are currently out to tender for the provision of catering services across 4 schools in the Trust: St Sebastian's CofE Primary School, Earley St Peter's CofE Primary School, the Coombes CofE Primary School and new build, Alder Grove CofE Primary School. The contract being tendered is for a period of 3 years, with the option to extend for a further 2 x 12-month periods. TUPE is expected to apply and all relevant information is included within the tender documents. St Sebastian’s is a Church of England Primary School situated near Wokingham in Berkshire with 147 students on roll from reception to year 6 who are also currently looking to open a nursery at the school. Due to the lack of kitchen facilities onsite, this requires a delivered meals service. Earley St Peter’s is a Church of England Primary School situated in Earley, near Reading, Berkshire, with 483 students on roll from reception to year 6. There is also a nursery onsite, to which no meals are provided currently. The Coombes is considered to be a large Church of England Primary School situated in Arborfield, near Reading, Berkshire, with 419 students on roll from reception to year 6. There is also a Nursery onsite currently. This is a newly built Primary School located in Shinfield near Reading, recently entrusted to TKAT and due to open in September 2019. The opening year will be a single form entry, then increasing to 2 form entry thereafter, with the school growing throughout the life of the contract. There is the potential for this to be expanded to a 3 form entry school, although the kitchen has been designed with this in mind and should therefore be suitable to cater for this capacity. Since this School is new, site-specific information is yet to be determined. As soon as new information is released, this shall be communicated to the bidders, via InTend.
