RIVER DARGLE PUBLIC TRANSPORT BRIDGE GROUND INVESTIGATION

Tender description

The proposed development at the site involves construction of a new single span public transportation bridge with associated pile foundations and abutments. Additionally, a link road is to run from the new access road to the north of the site to connect with the north abutment, then from the southern abutment to Seapoint Road. The purpose of this contract is to conduct a detailed ground investigation to progress the detailed design of the scheme. The Ground Investigation shall comprise cable percussive and rotary core boreholes, trial pits, slit trenches, cone penetration tests and geophysical survey works. The investigation also includes in-situ testing, geotechnical (including undisturbed), geo-environmental and groundwater sampling, groundwater installations, groundwater monitoring, laboratory testing and final factual reporting including electronic data (AGS). Tenders for the Ground Investigation Contract are therefore invited by Wicklow County Council from competent contractors to carry out the required works as per the attached Suitability Assessment of Works Contractor Submission and Tender Documents, which may be downloaded from this website. Please note the successful contractor will be appointed PSCS for the required works.
