Wexford County Council seeks quotations for the supply, delivery, installation and complete commissioning of a fully comprehensive solution for the operation of a self service library installation My Open Library in New Ross Library. New Ross Library is located at Barrack Lane in New Ross and first opened to the public in 1981. The library currently offers 43 hours opening over 6 days with 1 late night opening until 8.30pm. The next development of library automation is My Open Library, which offers extended opening hours to library members on a self-service basis outside normal opening hours, seven days a week, from 8am to 10pm, 365 days a year. The full range of services that are available during staffed hours including book borrowing, study spaces and ICT facilities will be available during My Open Library hours. Library users will have access to the library at times that suit them best and the library is strengthened as a focal point for community engagement.
