Market engagement event – Special Educational Needs and Disability Information, Advice and Support Service (SENDIASS) Dorset Council have setup an event on Tuesday 11th February to engage with provider organisations – please save this date and we will come back to you with further information nearer to the time. This event will inform the Council as to the feasibility of tendering for an externally commissioned service and the key considerations for a contract and service specification. We will provide an outline of Dorset Council’s SENDIASS service and aspirations for the future, plus some potential challenges we face. We are committed to person centred approaches and have already undertaken co-production events with parent carers and focus groups with young people. We plan to have discussions to gauge the level of interest of provider organisations in this potential service contract, and to understand what would make this work for providers – both as a tendering process and contract monitoring and reviewing.
