This is a prior information notice (PIN) only: publication and a call for competition will be conducted once the scope of work is fully defined and approved. UK investment in the Global Fund 2020-2022 to reduce transmission and mortality for HIV AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria through treatments, diagnostics and preventive technologies and related services. Programme objective is to tackle the immediate impact of the three most deadly infectious diseases — HIV AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria — and put the international community on the right track to end the 3 diseases as epidemics by 2030, and achieve universal health coverage. The UK provides support to the Global Fund to fight AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria to help end the epidemics as called for in the SDGs. The global fund is a partnership which relies on effective partners at global and country level to deliver on its mandate. The UK Global Fund Accelerator (GFA) aims to address critical gaps to success to help achieve greater impact, focusing particularly at the country level where the Global Fund Secretariat does not have a presence, and there are challenges to designing and implementing effective three disease programmes in ways that strengthen health systems and contribute to universal health coverage (UHC). This EME relates to the GFA, and the potential requirement for a technical assistance facility as part of this. Through an Early Market Engagement (EME), DFID is seeking from all potential suppliers and partners: (i) feedback on our approach; (ii) suggestions for effective ways of working; and (iii) an understanding of market interest in potentially bidding for the work outlined in this concept note. Please register on the DFID Supplier Portal for this opportunity (PROJ10084) to receive all communication and updates —https://dfid.proactisportal.com/Account/Login There will be an Early Market Engagement event held on 28.1.2020. For all information regarding times and venues please ensure to access these details within the additional information provided for PROJ10084 on the DFID Supplier Portal. Note, there are 2 elements to registration which must not be confused with each other. 1) Suppliers must register their interest to PROJ10084 on the DFID Supplier Portal to ensure they receive all communications and updates (this is not registration to attend the event); 2) Within the profile of PROJ10084 on the portal, there are dialogues attachments containing additional documents which contain the link to register for the EME event.
