Copy-editing, design/layout, proofing and printing services for Monograph Publications for the National Museum of Ireland.

Tender description

NMI proposes to engage in a competitive process for the establishment of a multi-party framework agreement for copy-editing, design/layout, proofing and printing services. The principal aims of the Framework and any call off contracts to be awarded are: • To produce, print and deliver the production of approximately ten titles of the National Museum of Ireland (NMI) monograph publications over the next four years. These books will require inter alia copy-editing, design/layout, proofing and printing. • To copy-edit the submitted text for the book with the target audience (the interested general public) in mind. • To copy-edit the submitted images for the book with the target audience in mind. • To typeset the text and images for the book broadly based on the production files of a recent NMI publication (to be supplied to the successful Tenderer). • To liaise with NMI’s Head of Collections & Learning project managing the book. • To supply high-resolution (print) and low-resolution (screen) PDF versions of the book to be supplied on CD-ROM/external hard drive. • To supply the final production files (e.g. InDesign or equivalent format) of the external hard drive on DVD/external hard drive. From time to time, the Contracting Authority may avail of the following services, if available, from the framework members. • Academic Peer review of the publications.
