East Riding of Yorkshire Council is looking to establish a framework agreement for the purchase of vehicle bodies, over a period of 4 years. Although a wide range of tippers are required, the predominant requirement is for three way and single way tipping bodies, to be used for highways work. Quite often they are insulated and sheeted, covering all the way from 3.5 t to 26 t. There are also various other requirements, including caged tippers with bin-lifts, small drop-side tippers and plastic bodied tippers. Our salt and brine spreading vehicles are exclusively mounted to 26 t chassis, with nine cubic metre bodies. Electronic systems, including auto salting and route guidance, are an integral part of the bodies. The required salt/brine ratio is anything from 80/20 up to 50/50. Although we have a separate sweeper framework, there is a requirement for larger truck mounted sweepers in the 7.5 t and above category, usually with an auxiliary engine. Various types of crane vehicle, including drop-side, tippers and access platforms. They are to be mounted to chassis ranging from 5 t to 26 t. Refuse collection bodies constructed in high tensile steel to form a fully sealed body for refuse collection. Complete with ejection plate and tailgate with bin lifter, including domestic and trade or mixed refuse collection. Miscellaneous bodies — including, but not limited to: • Mobile Libraries • Gully Jetters • Beavertails • Box Bodies • Trailers • Hook Loaders.
