Tender description

The HSE is inviting responses from suitably qualified tenderers for a research initiative to improve public health nursing practice led research for the benefit of service users in HSE CHO7 (Kildare /West Wicklow, Dublin West, Dublin South City, Dublin South West). The initiative aims to enhance and develop the research skills and output of Community health nurses in Community Area 7 (CHO7)and in doing so improve service user care, outcomes and the implementation of evidence informed practice across the service. This initiative is for the development of research capacity between four different community care areas which form part of CHO7. There is potential for developing research projects which investigate integration of care between hospitals and community care services within CHO7. Overall expected outcome is the enhancement of professional community nursing practice and healthcare outcomes by supporting and developing models of sustainable research activity within nursing. Participation in these projects will increase research capacity, confidence and skills, and will also improve service user and interdisciplinary relationships with the ultimate goal of providing innovative services and improved health outcomes for service users.
