Tender description

The Department for Education has appointed a provider of free school meals voucher replacement scheme in response to the emergency situation — Covid-9 pandemic. School. The direct qward of the contract — free school meals voucher scheme in response to the emergency situation — Covid-19 pandemic. This facility would allow schools to access supermarket vouchers for use by parents/guardians of pupils who are eligible for FSM when not at school. The contract award is based on Regulation 32(2)(c) Public Contracts Regulations 2015 to provide extremely urgent deliverables. Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic, the DFE believes that the condition set out in Regulation 32(2)(c) of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 has been fulfilled in respect of the direct award of this contract. The initial contract is for a period of 4 weeks with an option to extend for a 8-week period i.e. up to 12 weeks in total. Standard quality and price criteria are not applicable on this occasion.
