DE&S Logistics Delivery Operating Centre, part of the UK Ministry of Defence (the Authority) has awarded a contract to S&P Global Platts for the provision of further enterprise licences to enable the Authority and Crown Commercial Services to continue to obtain fuel commodities information, and benchmark prices in the fuel commodities markets. The use of S&P Global Platts benchmarking services is mandated for all of the Authority’s fuel suppliers on the Authority’s current bulk fuel framework agreement and for those currently bidding on the replacement framework agreement which it intends to place by November 2020. No other benchmark services provider exists which can provide the same range, scope and geographical coverage of information required by the Authority and Crown Commercial Services.
