Repair of Wall & Bridges along the public promenade at The Walks, Loughrea, Co. Galway - Phase 2. The Walks and the watercourse are part of the Town Wall/Defences of the historic town of Loughrea (RMP No. GA105:150). The Town Wall/Defences is a National Monument in the ownership/ care of Galway County Council. This work is headed up by the Walks Project Committee, a voluntary local group. Funding for the work has been allocated under the Outdoor Recreation Infrastructure Scheme from the Department of Community & Rural Development..
