The authority is considering replacing the technology systems which support its core business activities with a modern, scalable solution to better serve its business objectives and enable increased operational efficiencies. Enhancements might include the provision of comprehensive digital customer channels and core back-office system/s to process customer contacts and cases. The back-office systems will be instrumental in managing important business activities as part of the authority’s regulatory and enforcement remit including site inspections, audits and product/substance-based inspections. Mobile inspection tooling is also being considered as part of this technology refresh. This market sounding exercise is intended to: • help to understand the relevant products in the market; • understand vendor approaches; • highlight opportunities for using technology to best effect; • understand capital and operational costs. The HSA would like to hear from product vendors who have relevant product offerings. Where system integrators wish to respond, the Authority requests that they have a clear view of the product set they would apply. We request that vendors responding to this market sounding have an out-of-box capability, relevant to the key functional areas outlined in Section 2, rather than a ground-up development proposal and can discuss and demonstrate their products if required during this market sounding. Respondents should also be prepared to discuss aspects of cost and provide guideline pricing during this market sounding exercise. The Authority is keen to explore all options available to them to ensure that the design of any potential future procurement is robust.
