Please note this notification is to confirm that we are halting the tender process in light of the Covid-19 outbreak and the issues this is causing Sheffield City Council and bidding organisations. We have invoked our business continuity plans and our resources are fully stretched so we are focussing on how we can support our community in this very challenging time. This contract is to provide school catering services to participating schools in Sheffield. The aims of the school catering contract are to: — increase school meal take up, concentrating on income based and infant free school meals entitlement, — provide a high quality, value for money Catering Contract that is designed with the customer as the main focus, — encourage strong partnership working between the contractor, school communities, the council and its partners, — offer a tailored, flexible and responsive service that is both right for Sheffield and also meets the needs of each individual school community, — actively work to improve the health of Sheffield’s children and young people, — encourage local business to be involved in the service, — is based on a mutually beneficial and strong commercial framework that works to the advantage of all parties.
