Roof repair and maintenance work

Tender description

This contract is for the supply and install of pitched and flat roofs. This is for a planned renewal programme of roofs and to include the roof line, chimney repairs, structure repairs. Midland Heart reserves the right to award contracts up to two suppliers (minimum of one supplier). The contract is for an initial term of 2 years with the option to extend for a further 1 year + 1 year (Total potential contract term of 4 years). A core element of the corporate plan for 2019-2024 for Midland Heart is investing in homes to maintain and increase the value and quality of our homes. A key part of investing in homes is our planned maintenance programs such as the planned renewal of roofs where properties that have been identified as having roofs that require replacement. Midland Heart are required to complete renewals within the planned program year and require suppliers who are fully experienced in the replacement of roofing and able to complete roofing works within timescales alongside a program of works. The renewals of roofs will not only add value to properties but also limit the number of future reactive repairs at the property providing value for money for Midland Heart. The works will include wholesale replacement of the existing roof and associated fixtures and finishes with the suppliers being responsible for appointments, pre-survey works, roof design and ensuring the design meets the building regulations required. Safe working is important and suppliers will be required to follow policies and processes as outlined within the contract documents and specification.
