Leeds Building Services - Subcontracting, Tarmac, Groundwork and Fencing

Leeds City Council’s internal service provider (ISP) is Leeds Building Services for construction and repair works building contractor. In order to support its programme of work it is seeking to undertake a competitive tendering process to appoint potentially a number of contractors in connection with Tarmac, Groundworks and Fencing. These works will be in relation to housing and non housing (civic estate) types of needs such as excavation and reinstating tarmac paths and driveways to domestic properties as well as repair work. The installing of new fencing and or repair work to existing fencing works. These types of works could be required in Civic properties as well as domestic. Successful contractors will be effectively ‘subcontracting’ to LBS, in order to compliment operational resources to meet service demand peaks and / or specialist requirements. Where similar planned or ‘grouped’ work is required to a number of properties, and can be carried out as an individual programme of work, Leeds City Council and may be obliged to complete a separate procurement exercise / competition to establish a contractor to complete those works. Housing Leeds, Leeds City Council and LBS do not guarantee any volume of work as the scope of work is always subject to alteration dependant on demand for services Sub-contractors will be required to undertake a variety of works in isolation to individual properties, or multiple items to individual properties.
