Tender description

A direct award of 12 months is proposed to the incumbent service provider for the continuation of the persistent assertive outreach outcome based service model to specific vulnerable groups using evidence based effective interventions and output based milestones, as a consequence of the present Covid-19 pandemic. As a consequence of the Covid-19 pandemic which has resulted in for example staff redeployment, the council propose making a 12 month direct award to the incumbent provider for continuing delivery of a persistent assertive outreach service model and associated integrated care pathways to support those at risk from substance use including adult offenders and other hard to reach vulnerable groups living in West Lothian. This will also provide for contributing to West Lothian’s commitment to the delivery of Alcohol Brief Interventions and to contribute to the prevention of drug and alcohol related deaths. The direct award will allow sufficient time for council staff to be available to assist with the future tendering opportunity and allow for service providers staff to be available to prepare their bid submissions.
