NHS Shared Business Services and the North of England Commercial Procurement Collaborative are consulting on a proposal to tender for the provision of ICT hardware and services to support NHS and wider public sector organisations. NHS Shared Business Services (NHS SBS) and the North of England Commercial Procurement Collaborative (NOE CPC) are consulting on a proposal to tender for the provision of ICT hardware and services to support NHS and wider public sector organisations. To help define and develop our national procurement strategy and help in the development of our service specification to meet the needs of our customers, NHS SBS and NOE CPC are engaging with potential providers prior to the release of any official tender documents in the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU). The aim of this PID and questionnaire is to notify the market of our future plans, to gauge interest in this opportunity and obtain feedback from providers of ICT hardware and services including but not limited to: Lot 1: desktops Products available include desktop computers (including small form factors, micro’s, all in one’s thin/zero client devices) plus peripherals (including monitors) where purchased with a desktop. Includes warranty and lease options, deployment services, as well as green/sustainable options. Lot 2: laptops Products available include Laptop computers, notebook devices, rugged devices, two in ones, thin and lightweight clients plus peripherals. Includes warranty and lease options, deployment services, and green/sustainable options. Lot 3: tablets/slate computers Products available include tablets and Slate devices (wraparound, detachable, phablets) plus Peripherals where purchased with a tablets/slate computer. Includes warranty and lease options, deployment services, as well as green/sustainable options. Lot 4: specialist healthcare related IT hardware Products available include (but not limited to) Mobile Carts including PC’s when purchased together, Infection control products, Mobile Clinical Assistant Devices, for use in point of care and mobile environments plus peripherals. LCD and HD monitors, large format, multi display mode monitors and displays suitable for end user applications including but not limited to PACS, endoscopy, mammography plus peripherals where purchased with a monitor/display to include wall mounts. Includes warranty and lease options, deployment services, as well as green/sustainable options. Lot 5: printing and scanning technologies Print and scanning technology to enable tracking and traceability within corporate, healthcare and retail environments. Products include (but not limited to) printers, scanners, to include barcode verification/identification, including peripherals when purchased. Includes warranty and lease options, deployment services, and green/sustainable options. Use case examples: • product management and visibility; • stock management; • asset management; • estates management; • medicine management; • patient identification and management; • point of care delivery in healthcare. Lot 6: one stop shop A selection of IT hardware and service including at least 4 of the following categories: Desktops, laptops tablets/slate computers, specialist healthcare related IT hardware, clinical monitors, medical displays, green sustainable IT hardware. The framework agreement will be open to NHS bodies as well as the wider public sector.
