Tender description

Provision of outsourced catering and cleaning services across Vantage Academy Trust. Currently there are nine schools within the Trust as follows: • SS Simon and Jude CofE Primary School, Bolton; • St James CofE Primary School, Manchester; • Gorton Primary School, Manchester; • St Barnabas CofE Primary Academy, Manchester; • St Augustine’s CofE Primary School, Salford; • St Paul’s CofE Primary School, Salford; • Willow Tree Primary School, Knowsley; • Knowsley Lane Primary School, Knowsley; • St Hilda’s CofE Primary School, Trafford. The customer is seeking to enter into a contract with a provider who: • is a suitably qualified supplier of catering services; • can deliver a fully managed, outsourced catering service in each of the customer’s schools; • can offer an affordable contract costing model with a profit-sharing arrangement; • will support the school’s aims of providing high-quality, healthy and nutritious meals, at an affordable cost; • will work in close partnership with the customer to offer age appropriate, hot and cold customer meals which exceed the government’s requirements for school food standards and take into account individual pupil dietary requirements where necessary. the customer is seeking to: • appoint a single contractor for the provision of cleaning services to Vantage Academy Trust; • obtain improvements in efficiency and effectiveness within the cleaning contract; • promote opportunities for innovation by adopting an output specification for cleaning services; • gain improvements in the level of management performance and the efficient deployment of staffing resource.
