Summary of the work Working with the System Operating Authority (SOA) you will interface on a daily basis with DE&S to Produce technical documentation for the Unified Communications (UC) project, which is required in order to deliver required GFI for the continued development of support documentation (AESPs). Specialist role Content designer Expected Contract Length Estimated at 3-6 months Latest start date Wednesday 8 April 2020 Maximum Day Rate £650 Who Speclialist Work With You will be working along side the Unified Communications Technical Subject Matter Expert and the wider project team. Working for the Unified Communications Project Manager within DE&S. What Specialists Work On The Technical Author will be producing documentation for the Unified Communications (UC) project required in order to deliver required GFI for the continued development of support documentation (AESPs), to include, but not be limited to: • Support Task Analysis (STA) • Work Instructions (WI) • Knowledge Articles (KA) • Build Guide • Supporting Documents o Low Level Design (LLD) o Solution Recommendation Document (SRD) o Security Impact Statement (SIS) o Disaster Recovery (DR) Plan o Service Level Agreement (SLA) o Test Plans o Test Cases o Backup Plan Skills & Experience • MOD DV clearance required on day one of the appointment due to the sensitivity of the role • Must have experience compiling technical documentation to a high quality standard, for use by an audience with a specified level of technical competence & baseline training/experience • Have experience producing Support Task Analysis (STA), Work Instructions (WI), Build Guide and Supporting Documents • Must have techical and product knowlege of Microsoft Unified Communications • Must have techical and product knowlege of Oracle Unified Communications • Must have techical and product knowlege of Dell Server Hardware • Must have techical and product knowlege Server Virtulisation with VMware and Hyper-V • Must have techical and product knowlege of CISCO Unified Communications • Minimum 3 years Technical Author experience Nice to Haves • Previous experience working with the MOD • Previous exeperience providing Technical authoring, reviewing and quality assurance of GFI documentation Work Location Hereford - address to be confirm on appointment. Working Arrangments 40 hrs (8hrs Mon - Fri) Security Clearance Must be solely UK National Must hold a current and valid security clearance, minimum level: DV without caveats.
